Dates have been added for the release of the Calamity, Azure Drive, and Archetype preamp. Other upcoming designs include the Para EQ, SV-Pre, and a few other new items.

February 27, 2022

The Omnicomp is set to release on March 18th.

The mains powered Electronic Tube Direct Injection (ETDI) is in progress. A product page will be coming soon.

A 24 volt DC supply is now available for purchase. Please note this is only for Broughton pedals that can accept 24V DC. Most users will find that a standard 9V pedal power supply is perfectly adequate for their application. In the rare case where you need maximum headroom for line level signals, this supply will suit your needs.

A new product, the Buffer Bandwidth Amplifier, has been added. The Messenger will be available on January 21st.

This year we will be releasing more inventory of the Resonant Filter Equalizer, Filter FX Loop, Parametric Equalizer, Azure Drive, Synth Voice Deluxe, and Calamity. Release dates will be provided on these product pages when available.

We have a few new releases coming this year, including a full featured optical compressor, a new overdrive, and more. These will be announced in future newsletters.

Additionally, the Locust Star, Maestro and other archived pedals will be making a comeback. Check the main page for the most up to date release info.

A new feature has been added to the website to allow email notifications for when an item comes back in stock. If you wish to be notified when a product becomes available, go to the product page, click "Notify when available" and enter your email address. You will receive an automated email when in stock.

This works for all products, including the archived ones. This is not a guarantee that archived pedals will be brought back. Using the request form on the archive page is the best way to let us know what products should be brought back.

Upcoming release dates will continue to be provided when available.

The Solarian will be released this Friday, along with two new merch items. The next release will be the Filter FX Loop, and the Messenger and SV-Pre will come soon after.

In addition, the Calamity and Azure Drive will be released as a small batch later this summer, along with the Archetype preamp. Release dates will be provided on the project pages in a few weeks.

The Fliptop build was delayed due to some issues with USPS, but we will be making a large batch soon after we receive the parts. Check the product page later for release updates.

Parts for the Locust Star are finally becoming available after months of delays. Once more progress is made, a release date will be provided.

The Messenger, SV-Pre, Fliptop, and Filter FX Loop are all being built.

Parts have been ordered for more Archetype preamps.

Some archived projects are coming back for a small batch release, including Synth Voice Deluxe, Solarian, and a few others.

Happy New Year!

We are starting new work for the year and will begin updating the out of stock product pages regarding their release dates. Please check back regularly for updates. We are also working on a new batch of the Filter FX Loop, and a new release of the mains powered Archetype tube preamp. More info to come--stay tuned!

The December 18th release of the Fliptop and P15 will be the final release of 2020. There will be no more releases of special projects until January. All orders will still be fulfilled within three business days. We will be taking some much needed time off at the end of December so that we will be ready to go next year. Stay tuned for future release dates to be posted. We have a lot of exciting projects we are working on.

All regular filter pedals are in stock and ready to ship. P15s are made on a weekly basis and released on Fridays. We have many special products released on a weekly basis, just check the main page for release dates. Release dates may change due to shipping delays, but we will keep it updated daily. Nothing will change last minute; if something is planned to be released this week, you can count on it!

We are working harder than ever before to make a bunch of pedals and preamps. Thank you for your support!

The production for the Messenger and SV-Pre is in progress. When I have a release date for these items, I'll post it on their respective product pages.

P15 production is in full swing this year, and I have been making up to 5 per week every week, depending on how busy I am with building other pedals. Please check the product page for more information.

In the next few months I have some previous designs coming back, as well as a couple of new ones. Check back regularly for updates on the main product page.

The SV-Pre will be in stock this November 15th. Another batch will be made in December.

The Messenger will be in stock sometime in December. An exact date will be posted later.

The Resonant Filter Equalizer will be making a comeback in December. Check the product page later for an exact date.

The SV-Pre is scheduled to be back in stock on September 12th. The Synth Voice Deluxe will be released after this, either at the end of September or early October. The Super Stack will follow these releases.

A vacation notice will be posted on the website on September 13th. Orders placed between September 13th - 23rd will ship after the 24th.

The Rumblefish Fuzz will be released on June 28th. Following this in July will be the Resound reverb, and then the SV-Pre.

Later this summer will be the release of the Electronic Tube Direct Injection, the Super Stack, and the Synth Voice Deluxe.

May 16, 2019

I will be taking next week off, so any orders placed after 3PM this Friday will be shipped on or after May 27th.

Production of the Messenger, HPF-DI, and Filter FX Loop are well under way. The product pages indicate the dates these go up for sale.

June will have two new small batch releases. First will be a preamp of the Traynor TS-50B bass amp. It will be in a 125B enclosure with top jacks, and will take 9V DC. I built the prototype and it is excellent! It is a very grindy, cutting solid state preamplifier. It can even drive a power amp!

The second small batch release for June will be a re-release of the Rumblefish fuzz.

To make room for more builds in the future, the PLL will no longer be stocked after they are sold out. This will be the final stock.

The Resonant Filter EQ batch is nearly complete. It will be made available as early as next week.

The Messenger and SV-Pre will be restocked on May 10th.

The HPF-DI will be made available later in May, followed by the Filter FX Loop shortly after.

The batch of Super Stacks is still in progress. They are a bit slow to make, but I plan to have them ready in about three weeks.

After this I will release the Resonant Filter EQ, a L+HPF with resonant cutoff frequencies, as well as a mid band EQ. This type of EQ allows unique sculpting of the lows and highs, similar to what a cab sim can do. This type of EQ can be found in some high end custom basses such as Alembic and Wal.

The Super Stack is in production and will be made available in the next few weeks. I will give a heads up when an exact date is known.

The parts for the Locust Star are on their way to me, and I will have them ready in March. This will likely be the last batch that I make of this pedal.

The production of the SV-Pre has been delayed due to the enclosures being lost in the mail. The manufacturer has issued a redo of the order and should be able to get it out to me in a couple of weeks. I plan to release the SV-Pre sometime in February.

Along with this, I am building up an inventory of Super Stacks to be released as a small batch soon. I also have quite a few other small batches lined up behind it, so stay tuned for more fun stuff!

I've been working hard building inventory on out of stock items. The Always On HPF is finally back in stock! Also, the Messengers are ready to be posted tomorrow.

In addition, I have placed the Terraformer, Bass Box, and Sunder Fuzz on sale for December. Get one before they're sold out!

The Always On HPF and Messenger will be in stock on December 14th! Finally!

I'm only making a handful of Messengers right now as I have so many different pedals to build. There are parts to make more if they sell out.

The SV-Pre will be on sale this Friday. I have parts on order to make more, and will likely be ready sometime in January.

I'm still waiting on PCBs for the L+HPF and the Silver Deluxe, and I expect them to arrive in about two weeks.

The Always On HPF was originally scheduled to be in stock on November 23rd, but it is obvious that this will not happen as I still have not received supplies I ordered several weeks ago. The Canada Post strike continues to delay my supplies from arriving and I can no longer give estimates on when products will be back in stock. As soon as I have more information, I will post it here and on the product pages. Thanks for your patience. Hopefully this will end soon!

Due to the Canada Post strike, I have not received any packages for two weeks. The restock date for the Always On HPF may have to be postponed if supplies do not arrive soon. I will update the product page and post here with any changes.

Dates have been updated on the out of stock items. The Always On HPF and the Silver Deluxe will be ready on November 23rd, and the Messenger will be ready on November 30th.

The first JFET SVT will be made this weekend as a final proof of concept. If everything goes according to plan, I will get started on making these right away and will have them ready in November.

I have plans to release a new pedal in December as well as some end of the year sales in time for the holidays. Stay tuned for a newsletter for this!

The Always On High Pass Filter has been in high demand lately and sold out sooner than anticipated. Replacement parts are on the way and should be here by next week.

The parts for the SVT pre should also be here next week, and I'll have them built in approximately a week after that. I won't release a newsletter for this, but I'll give more updates on when it's coming. As always, no pre-orders or wait lists!

The HPF is back in stock!

It is a long holiday weekend so I may not be able to answer emails until next week. Until then I will be working on finishing up the phaser for the PCDH19 Alliance auction to be held in November.

The parts for the HPF have arrived and production has commenced. I will have a few available tomorrow, and more next week.

I am expecting the final pieces for the HPF to arrive this week. I hope to have started on building up inventory by this weekend. Check back later this week for updates on this.

The next small batch pedal I will be launching is a JFET implementation of the 70s SVT preamp. This should be released later this month. As a reminder, I don't take pre-orders, nor do I keep a list of potential buyers for any of my pedals. You'll just have to stay tuned for when it is released!

Soon I will put up a product page of the phaser I made for the PCDH19 Alliance Auction, which will be held sometime in November. This is a one-off pedal that is only available at the auction, and all money raised goes towards funding research to find a cure for PCDH19 epilepsy. More details on the pedal and the auction will be available when the product page is made.

In addition to all this, I have plans for two more small batches this year, and then a few more regular items to be launched for 2019.

I added the Silver Deluxe to the product line-up. It will be a limited production run. I may make more if there is more demand, but for now I have a few other small batches coming up that I will be building.

The parts for the HPF and the Messenger are still incoming, so it will still be a few weeks before these are available. I will keep up the updates on these builds.

I have added this page to give more regular updates on current and upcoming products.

This week I will be adding my new preamp for sale. I anticipate they will sell fast, so check regularly if you want one. I have parts on order to make more, but please be patient as they take a long time to make. I will do my best to make as many as possible while keeping up inventory of the other pedals.

Another newsletter will go out with the release of the preamp. It will include a peek at future releases of Broughton products. If you haven't already, subscribe by filling out the form at the bottom of any product page.

Due to a delay in manufacturing of the High Pass Filter pedal, they will be out of stock until the error can be corrected. I anticipate they will be available in early October. Of course you can always grab an Always On version, or the Low + High Pass Filter, both of which share the same HPF circuitry as the standalone version.
